Why use our site?

familyrapp.com was born out of many frustrating hours on the internet trying to source relevant family based information. The endless 'Click Here' scenario, which took you nowhere, made us believe that we could do better. From our initial proposal of a family days out website we developed and progressed our ideas to that of our final concept - an online magazine to be enjoyed by parents and carers of children between the ages of 3 and 13. We have since, due to popular demand, expanded our database of articles and links to cover both younger and older children.

The journey from concept to going live has not been without its difficulties. The learning curve has been steep but we have gained invaluable knowledge and experience and we have discovered a wealth of talent and experience within our community - men and women who no longer worked, whether through starting families, through redundancy or retirement or through other personal circumstances, who have enjoyed taking part in the creation of a new site.

You can now judge for yourselves whether the site we have built carries the prerequisites of our original concept - a site which is easy to navigate, a site which has useful and informative content on each page and a site which has a calm and peaceful environment so the reader actually enjoys logging on. Not only this, but we wish to provide a worthwhile environment for parents and carers of children to read and learn, share experiences and ultimately build a community of readers who would like to keep the idea of the family unit alive, in a world which makes this very difficult to achieve.

Our name familyrapp developed from our idea of building a rapport within the family community. Alongside enjoying the commentary and wealth of information within our magazine, please remember we wish our readers to communicate with us to build up a special community.

Helping you to enjoy family life!
